Makeup Tutorial: Blue Robot

This is one of those looks that looked pretty impressive in person but the colours just didn't translate to the photos. It was completely improvised and just a bit of fun but I thought I'd show you lot anyway.
Prime your eyelid and pat on a white, shimmery shadow such as Zephyr (Urban Decay) all over the lid.
Then add an indigo over the lower part of the lid. I used the darkest colour Bourjois' Smoky Eye trio in 06 Violet Romantic.
Use a dark blue on an angled brush to draw a line in the crease. I used the same blue on a pencil brush to blend over the top of the line into the crease.
Use a purple to blend above and into the blue.
Use a dark green eyeliner for the waterline. I used Rimmel's Soft Kohl in 031 Jungle Green.
Use a metallic dark grey, such as Barry M's Metallic on the top lash line.
Optional: Use the same blue you used on your lid, then a grey (Pistol - Urban Decay) on the eyebrows.
Add some black mascara and false eyelashes. If you really wanted to go all out, applying some silver, shiny false eyelashes would look good.
As I said previously, this look was a bit of an experiment. As ever, elements can be taken away or added to soften or enhance the look. This probably isn't a look I'll recreate to wear out but it's important to remember to have fun with makeup, don't just stick to what is safe because you're worried about what other people will think. Experiment.
